Apr. 7, 2021 - The Loras College women's soccer team (4-0-0, 4-0-0 A-R-C) extended their win streak to four games as they took on the University of Dubuque Spartans (3-2-1, 1-2-1 A-R-C) in a crosstown showdown. Junior forward
Emily Perhats notched her third goal of the season in the Duhawks' 1-0 victory over the Spartans.
The Duhawks' lone goal in the match came in the 11th minute of the match as
Brynn Jacobi inbounded the ball on throw in that found the head of
Ryleigh O'Brien, seeing the ball at Perhats' feet to rifle a shot past Dubuque goalkeeper Victoria Roethler.
Loras pounded the net offensively, getting off 22 shots in the match with 12 on goal and holding Dubuque to only six total shots with two on goal.
Kyndal Kells recorded her second straight clean sheet in net for the Duhawks, saving both shots the Spartans put on net.
Perhats led the Duhawks offensively with three shots on net and a goal while
Savannah Johnson and
Libby Perry each had two. Jacobi and O'Brien each posted an assist and a shot on goal in the match.
The Duhawks are set to travel to Storm Lake, Iowa on Saturday, Apr. 10 to face the Buena Vista University Beavers in an American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) matchup. The match is set to kick off at 1:00 PM at J. Leslie Rollins Stadium.
