Apr. 6, 2021 – Helping the team improve to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) on Saturday, Loras College football's freshman kickoff specialist Zak Talbot was honored as a Special Teams Performer on the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday.

Talbot, a newcomer out of Cascade, Colo., had 404 kickoff yards in Loras' 45-21 win against Luther College on Saturday, putting six of his eight kicks inside the 10-yard line. Three kicks were fair caught and one was a touchback as well as one landing within the ten after kicking from the 20-yard line following a penalty. He is averaging 53 yards per kickoff and has 942 total yards through two games.

Talbot is the first player since Riley Larson '20 in 2017 to land on the Team of the Week.

The Duhawks host crosstown rival the University of Dubuque in the Key City Clash on Saturday, Apr. 10. Kickoff inside the Rock Bowl is set for 1 P.M.
