ST. LOUIS, Mo. (Sept. 11, 2021) - The Loras College women's soccer team (3-0-1, 0-0-0 A-R-C) kicked off their weekend in St. Louis against University Athletic Association (UAA) powerhouse Washington University in St. Louis (1-0-1, 0-0-0 UAA). The Duhawks matched the Bears for the full 90 minutes of regulation to force double overtime to decide a victor, but the two teams settled for a scoreless draw to give both sides their first ties of the season. 

American Rivers Conference Defensive Player of the Week Kyndal Kells had a lights-out showing in net for the Duhawks, facing eight shots on goal in the game, making eight saves for her fourth straight clean sheet. The Duhawks' defensive line continues to shine, conceding zero goals in the first four contests of the year. Four Duhawks got shots off in the game offensively in Payton McDonnell, Bella Talbot, Emily Perhats and Lauren Riggle. 

The Duhawks are back in action on Sunday, Sept. 12 against Fontbonne University. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM at Francis Olympic Field on the campus of WashU.
