STORM LAKE, Iowa (Oct. 22, 2022) – The race for the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) regular season title is heating up, and the Loras College men's soccer team has itself positioned well after a convincing win over Buena Vista University on Saturday.
The Duhawks (9-5-1, 5-1-1 A-R-C) topped the Beavers (0-14-2, 0-7 A-R-C) 4-0 on the road Saturday to put themselves at the top of the regular season standings with just one game to play. The win over Buena Vista marked the third straight shutout victory for Loras and its eighth shutout win overall for 2022.

That late goal gave the Duhawks some breathing room as they looked to add on, and they did so in the 69

Despite taking a while to get on the scoreboard, Loras dominated in all phases of the game, including a 21-1 advantage in total shots.
Loras has 16 points in the A-R-C standings to rank ahead of Simpson College (15 points), Wartburg College (13 points), and Luther College (13 points) with one game remaining. The Duhawks can clinch the regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming A-R-C Tournament with a win over Wartburg on Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the regular-season finale.
