Nov. 2, 2022 – Loras College's men's soccer team aims to defend its American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Tournament crown this week, starting with a semifinal round battle with Nebraska Wesleyan University on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Rock Bowl at 7:30 P.M.
The Duhawks (9-5-2, 5-1-2 A-R-C) wrapped up the regular season last Tuesday with a 2-2 draw versus Wartburg College that secured the outright regular season title and earned the Duhawks the top seed and a first-round bye in this tournament.

The tournament's No. 5-seed Nebraska Wesleyan comes in at 7-7-3 overall and 4-2-2 in A-R-C play. The Prairie Wolves traveled to the Rock Bowl back on Sept. 24 for the conference opener, falling to the Duhawks 5-0 in a one-sided affair.
NWU played at fourth-seeded Wartburg College on Saturday, Oct. 29 in the quarterfinal round and pulled off a 2-1 upset thanks to a pair of early goals in the 21
st and 27
th minute of the contest.
As a team, the Prairie Wolves rank third in the A-R-C with 37 goals this season (2.18 average per game). They were held scoreless just twice this season, once versus Loras on Sept. 24 and once at Wartburg on Oct. 22 in a 1-0 defeat.
Loras has won each of the previous six matchups with Nebraska Wesleyan with the last defeat for the Duhawks coming in Lincoln, Neb. in a 3-1 match in 2017.
