Apr. 20, 2022 – The Loras College department of athletics is pleased to celebrate a record-number of student-athletes inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society Class of 2022. The 62 honorees comprise the fifth class since the program came to the college in 2018.

The first and only national scholar-athlete society to honor four-year collegiate student-athletes who have excelled in both the classroom and in athletic competition, Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college student-athletes who receive a varsity letter in their sport, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full-time semester, and earn a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average. Student-athletes are only inducted once in either their junior or senior year.

The women's soccer team had the most inductees this year with eight followed by football and women's cross country and track and field with seven inductees.

The 2022 class joined the 186 inductees in program history and represent student-athletes from the college NCAA Division III sponsored sports, bringing Loras' total to 248.
