June 16, 2022 – A record-setting year for the Loras College Department of Athletics culminated with a top-25 finish among all institutions in Division III on Thursday as the Duhawks finished the 2021-22 athletic campaign ranked 24th in the LEARFIELD Director's Cup Standings. The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.

The Duhawks scored 603.50 total points, including 147.5 points this spring with 100 coming from the women's track and field team's historic three-peat performance at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championship. Loras secured two relay national titles in the 4-by-100 and 4-by-400-meter relays and crowned 16 All-Americans. The men's track and field team scored 47.5 points with a 26th-place finish at the championship with six All-Americans.

Tufts University won their first-ever Learfield Director's Cup with 1,080 points followed by Johns Hopkins University in second (1,043 points) and Middlebury University in third (1,000.50 points). Massachusetts Institute of Technology finished fourth (936.75 points) and Washington University in St. Louis finished fifth (922.50 points). In the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C), Wartburg College finished 17th as the league's only top-20 program and the University of Dubuque (58th), Nebraska Wesleyan University (70th) and Central College (93rd) finished top-100. In total, 326 schools scored points in Division III.

The final standings cap off a tremendous year for the Duhawks that saw Kassie Parker win the women's cross country program's first national title in the fall, the men's and women's soccer teams advance to the NCAA Division III tournament and women's soccer post the highest finish in program history with a trip to the Final Four. The women's indoor track and field team swept the indoor and outdoor national titles for the first time in program history, making it four-consecutive national titles and trophying at every championship since 2019. The men's track and field team placed fourth indoors for the first podium finish since 1989 and the wrestling team finished 11th at the NCAA Division III National Championship with Shane Liegel (184 lbs.) and Jacob Krakow (174 lbs.) earning All-America honors.
