Sept. 20, 2022 – Loras College football's Josh Kieffer continued to bring in awards for his career-high performance on Saturday as the fifth-year senior linebacker was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week following the Duhawks' 38-35 win at then-ranked No. 12 Central College.

Kieffer led the Duhawk defense with 15 total tackles against the Dutch, including four solos, and five of Kieffer's tackles were for loss, totaling 47 yards while his team-leading 2.5 sacks also resulted in a loss of 18 yards for the Dutch. The East Dubuque, Ill. native also forced fumble in the fourth quarter started a touchdown-scoring drive for the Duhawk offense. Kieffer earned A-R-C Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday for his achievements as well. Through three games, Kieffer has 24 tackles, shares the team lead with tackles for loss and one forced fumble.

Loras (1-2, 1-0 A-R-C) knocked off the defending conference champions in the Week 3 matchup in Pella on a 37-yard field goal by freshman Aidan Driscoll with one second remaining in the game. The Duhawks look to carry the momentum into the home opener on Saturday, Sept. 24, hosting Nebraska Wesleyan University (1-2, 0-1 A-R-C) at 1 P.M. in the Rock Bowl.
