Sept. 24, 2022 – The (RV)/15 Loras College women's soccer team celebrated its senior class in grand fashion on Saturday night as the Duhawks cruised to a 6-0 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan University to open American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) play.
The Duhawks (6-0-2, 1-0) earned their third shutout win of the season, all of which have come by a margin of four goals or more, and took down the Prairie Wolves (4-2-1, 0-1) to help Loras celebrate the 5
th Annual Latinx Heritage Night.
Loras fired 37 shots total in the game compared to just three for the Prairie Wolves as head coach
Matt Pucci managed to get all of his seniors playing time in front of their families and friends.
Senior forward
Abby Eriksen started the scoring in the 16

Bella Talbot. Eriksen's goal-scoring streak is now up to five consecutive games thanks to the early opportunity.
Junior forward
Savannah Johnson was the next to get on the board as her 20
th-minute goal was assisted by senior forward
Ryleigh O'Brien and junior midfielder
Hannah Schmitz on a long throw in play.
O'Brien capped off the half with a goal of her own, her first of two in the game, in the 31
st minute as she cashed in on a corner kick pass from senior midfielder
Payton McDonnell.
The senior O'Brien was just getting started as she tallied another assist just over a minute into the second half as her long pass down the right side of the field led Talbot to a goal in the 47
th minute.
O'Brien would cash in once more in the 49

Julia Neary past the NWU goalkeeper, pushing the Loras lead to 5-0. Her six points in the game ties a career-high she set back in 2019.
The final goal of the night came courtesy of a long-range strike from senior midfielder

Her strike put the finishing touches on yet another victory and another special night inside the Rock Bowl for the Duhawks.
Loras looks to keep its five-game winning streak alive when the Duhawks host the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater this Wednesday, Sept. 28. Kickoff in Dubuque is slated for 5 P.M.
