WAVERLY, Iowa – The Loras College women's soccer team took down Wartburg College, 5-0, to remain undefeated in conference play on Tuesday evening at Salzwedel Field.
For the third time in four games,
Savannah Johnson led the Duhawk offense with a hat trick of goals. She scored her first goal of the night at the 10:53 mark and added in the second goal at 30:32 off an assist from teammate
Hannah Schmitz.
Katie Callahan netted the final goal of the first half at 33:37 to give the Purple and Gold a 3-0 lead at the half.
Johnson found the back of the net once more off a pass from
Bella Talbot to complete the hat trick at 57:29, while Schmitz recorded the last Duhawk goal of the evening with under eight minutes left to play.
Loras (11-1-0 overall, 4-0-0 A-R-C) totaled 25 shots, putting 11 of them on frame, while Wartburg (5-7-1, 3-2-0) took nine shots and put five of them on target.
Kyndal Kells earned her 10
th clean sheet of the season in goal with four saves.
