DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College men's soccer team took another step in securing a top seed in the American Rivers Conference Tournament on Saturday night with a 1-0 victory over Coe College inside the Rock Bowl.

In the game's 24^th minute, Julian Lopez booted a corner kick in front of Coe's goal. Bryan Basinger got a head on it before Liam Bennett was able to knock the ball through to the back of the net for his fourth goal of the year and to give Loras the only lead it needed over the night.

Loras (10-3-4 overall, 5-2 A-R-C) controlled the game and tempo the rest of the way to improve to 6-2-4 on the home pitch.

For the second-straight game, senior goalkeeper Ben Krogman notched a 90 minute shutout, securing three saves against 14 shots by Coe (6-7-2, 2-5-0).

Owen Ivanuck, Alex Beausoleil, and Dani Galiana Torres each had five shot attempts to lead the Duhawks, while Reed Miklavcic trailed just behind at three.

Game Notes

• The Duhawks dominated in shots at a disparity of 26-14.
• Loras also led the way in corner kicks with a mark of 9-6.
• The victory marks the 20^th-straight for Loras over Coe, dating back to Oct. 9, 2001.
