DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's soccer team claimed a share of the American Rivers Conference Regular Season title with its 4-0 victory over Coe College this evening inside the Rock Bowl.
Julia Neary found the back of the net at the 9:27 mark off assists from
Savannah Johnson and
Reagan Lindsay to give the Duhawks an early 1-0 lead.
Emerson Gasmann netted her first goal of the season off a pass from
Katie Callahan in the 30
th minute of play, giving Loras the 2-0 advantage at the half.
Johnson finished a pass from Neary just three minutes into the second half to record her 19
th goal of the year, while Lindsay scored the final goal for the Purple and Gold at the 51:29 minute mark to secure a key conference win.
Loras (14-1-0 overall, 7-0-0 A-R-C) totaled 24 shots, putting 12 of them on target, while Coe (6-8-2, 1-5-1) recorded three shots and put two of them on frame.
Kyndal Kells earned the win in goal with two saves.
Up Next: The Duhawks look to clinch the A-R-C regular season title outright at Central College on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
