CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Loras College fell to the No. 25 Coe College Eagles, 54-14, on Saturday afternoon in the program's regular season finale.
Evan England passed for 104 yards and two touchdowns, his third-straight game tossing for two scores or more. His top target was
Michael Crawford, who caught four passes for 25 yards and a touchdown. Freshman wide receiver
Brian Filosa hauled in his first-career score, a 27-yard strike from England right before the half.
Jamel Britt tallied 61 yards on the ground, closing out the regular season with three-straight 60 yard-plus rushing performances.
Josh Rydberg led the defense with nine total tackles, all of which were solo, including two for loss. Heny Ivers recorded his first career interception, returning it 37 yards.
Andrew Hefel and
Sean Doyle each recorded a tackle for loss, while
Zacchaeus Knighton and
Cormiac Flynn both recorded a pass breakup.
Loras closes out the regular seaon with a 5-5 overall record, including a mark of 4-4 in conference play.
