DECORAH, Iowa – The Loras College Duhawk men's wrestling team started their season at the highly-competitive Luther open on Saturday, a meet that featured five hundred-plus wrestlers. The Duhawks saw eight wrestlers place at the tournament, which features an Elite and Silver bracket at each weight class.

Elite Division Place Winners
125: Wiley Jessup placed 8^th – posted a record of 4-2 record with two falls.
141: Nosa Egbon placed 5^th. He was 5-1 with one major decision. He fell in the quarterfinals to Nico Diaz of Stevens Institute of Technology (7-2), who is the 10^th ranked wrestler in the NCAA Division III.
165: Dustin Bohren placed 7^th with a record of 4-2 with one major decision.

Silver Division Place Winners
125: Carter Anderson took 6^th place after going 4-2 with two falls and two tech falls.
174: Landry Barker placed 3^rd with a record of 4-1 that included two falls.
184: Alex Watson took 5^th with a record of 2-2. He received a first-round bye with two falls.
184: Sam Zindel placed 4^th after a record of 2-2 that included a fall.
197: Aiden Rice took 8^th after going 2-3 with both victories coming by major decisions.

Up Next: The Duhawks return to the mat on Thursday, Nov. 16 to face Buena Vista University for their first dual of the season in Storm Lake. The meet is set to get underway at 7 p.m.
