DUBUQUE, Iowa- The Loras College men's soccer team fell to Wartburg College in the American Rivers Conference championship match Saturday night.
The first half was a defensive battle as neither team was able to find the back of the net. Both teams had opportunities to score, but it was Loras who held an 8-6 shot advantage in the first half. In the second half, it was Warburg's Curtis Ratzer who scored the game's only goal in the 50
th minute.
Loras (12-4-4 overall, 6-2 A-R-C) was led by
Owen Ivanuck who totaled three shots, all of which were on goal.
Matt Nielson and
Carson Howe were also able to put a shot on goal. Wartburg (12-1-6, 5-1-2) was led by Paul Devine who put both of his shots on goal.

- Loras and Wartburg each had 12 total shots, putting five of them on goal
- Both teams also tied in corner kicks with three apiece
- With the loss, Loras will await the NCAA Selection Show to see if their season will continue.
