IRVING, Texas (April 14, 2023) – Earlier this week, the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) announced the members of the 2023 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, and five Loras College football student-athletes earned membership.

Zach Kemp, and
Mason Morris were part of the elite group of 1,734 players from 328 schools who became members of the Hampshire Honor Society on Wednesday. The 1,734 new members is a new record number of members for a single season for the 17-year program that has honored 16,370 student-athletes since its inception.
Baughman, a criminal justice major from Washington, Iowa, appeared in 16 games as an offensive lineman for the Duhawks over his four years with the program, including seven starts in 2022 that earned him American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Second Team honors.
Gwynn, a psychology major from Camas, Wash., appeared in 21 games for the Duhawks as a defensive back. He collected seven career interceptions with three coming in 2022, including a 100-yard pick-six in Loras' 63-21 win at Simpson College, which ties the program's record.
Harris, a sports management major from Bettendorf, Iowa, appeared in 27 games during his career. He made an impact on defense and special teams with a career total of 39 tackles and four blocked kicks while earning Chi Alpha Sigma Honors Society and College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors.
Kemp, a sports management and business administration major from Dubuque, Iowa, saw action in 35 games in his career, accumulating 48 total tackles, 12 passes defended, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He twice earned A-R-C- Academic All-Conference honors and was named an A-R-C All-Conference Honorable Mention selection in 2022.
Morris, a business marketing and financial planning major from Davenport, Iowa, played in 35 games for the purple and gold and recorded 189 total tackles in his career to rank second all-time in program history. After leading the Duhawks and ranking top-10 in the conference in tackles, he was an A-R-C All-Conference Honorable Mention selection in 2022. He is also a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honors Society.
The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions of the NCAA, NAIA, and sprint football who each maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better throughout their playing careers.
Nominated athletes must be either a senior who will graduate in the spring or summer semesters and just used their final season of eligibility or be a graduated player who has been out of high school for at least three years. In addition to their GPA requirements, they must have also been a starter or significant contributor throughout the 2022 season.
