LINCOLN, Neb. – The Loras College women's soccer team soundly defeated Nebraska Wesleyan University 4-0 to earn its second American Rivers Conference victory of the season on Saturday evening.
Just 21 seconds into the contest,
Julia Neary put a pass from
Kaighin Frost into the back of the net to give the Duhawks the 1-0 lead.
Reagan Lindsay extended the Loras (9-1-0 overall, 2-0-0 A-R-C) lead with a goal at the 19:08 mark to give the Duhawks a 2-0 advantage at the half.
Libby Perry tallied her second assist of the game when she connected with
Savannah Johnson who netted the third goal of the night for the purple and gold.
Belle Johnson finished a pass from
Rylee Quillen with under nine minutes left to play to score the final Duhawk goal of the contest.
The Loras offense totaled 25 shots and was able to put 15 of them on target, while the Duhawk defense did not allow a single Nebraska Wesleyan (1-7-1 overall, 0-1-1 A-R-C) shot in 90 minutes of play.
