CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Loras College linebacker, Henry Ivers, was tabbed the American Rivers Conference Defensive Player of the Week after his performance in the Duhawks 48-13 win over Luther College this past Saturday.

The Oak Lawn, Ill. native was instrumental for the Purple and Gold on the defensive side of the ball against the Norse, recovering a fumble and returning it 79 yards for a touchdown. Ivers also add a sack and a tackle for loss for 11 yards as well as six total tackles to his stat line.

Loras welcomes crosstown rival, the University of Dubuque, to the Rock Bowl on Saturday, Oct. 19 for a Key City Clash. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
