DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College men's basketball team fell 74-66 on Senior Day to crosstown rival, the University of Dubuque, in their regular season finale on Saturday afternoon inside the Lillis Athletic and Wellness Center.
Loras (20-5 overall, 11-5 American Rivers Conference) shot just 35.7 percent (20-of-56) from the floor and 28.6 percent (8-of-28) from behind the arc en route to their fifth loss of the season.
Jared Pearson led the way for the Duhawks with 17 points. The Des Plaines, Ill. native shot 5-of-8 from the field and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe in 24 minutes of action.
Ali Sabet added in 13 points and four rebounds, while
Myles Barry and
Tyler Bass chipped in 11 points apiece. Bass also added a team-high seven rebounds and three assists to his stat line as well.
Dubuque shot 48.1 percent (26-of-54) from the field and 27.3 percent (6-of-22) from behind the arc. Sam Kilburg led all scorers with 23 points, while Jaylin McCants contributed 16 points.
