DUBUQUE, Iowa – 24 hours after winning its home opener against Wartburg College, the Loras College Duhawk baseball team dropped Thursday's contest, 20-10, to the 14
th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks at Petrakis Park.
Whitewater got on the board early and often, jumping out to a 15-3 lead after the second inning and never looked back. Loras nearly avoided the run-rule loss by plating four in the seventh, but it wasn't enough as the Purple and Gold fell to 12-5 on the season.
Daniel Rogers finished the game 4-of-5 from the plate with two of his three RBIs coming off a home run in his first at bat of the day. With the two-run shot, he moved up second all-time at Loras in career RBIs.
Junior
Aidan Herrick was 2-for-3 swinging the bat, tying the team lead in RBIs with Rogers at three.
Max McCallum rounded out multi-hit Duhawks after finishing 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Kayden Shivers, and
Will Moonan each recorded two strikeouts to lead the team.
