DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College men's soccer team faced off against Concordia University Wisconsin for the first time in program history Wednesday night. The Duhawks took round one by a score of 2-1.

Loras (3-1-1) wasted little time getting on the scoreboard. At the 10:43 minute mark in the first half,
Dani Galiana Torres scored the game's opening goal thanks to a pass off the foot of
Reed Miklavcic. Concordia University Wisconsin (0-2-1) responded and scored the equalizing goal in the 37
th minute as Kyle Paler put one in the back of the net off an assist from Sam Butterfield.

After the Duhawks were awarded a penalty kick in the 85
th minute, Miklavcic took advantage and scored the game's deciding goal.

Loras shined on offense, outshooting the Falcons 18-7, putting 13 shots on goal, to the Falcons two.

Ben Krogman recorded one save in 90 minutes of action.

Up Next: Loras will travel to St. Peter, Minn. to take on Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday Sept. 15. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
