DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's soccer team prevailed 2-0 in their home opener against Concordia University Wisconsin to earn its second win of the 2024 season on Wednesday evening.
Lauren Riggle found the back of the net at the 12:39 mark off a pass from
Isabel Russmann to score the first goal of the contest for the Purple and Gold.
The second goal of the night came off a corner kick by
Reagan Lindsay. It was Russmann once again who made contact to beat the Falcon goalkeeper, making the score 2-0.
Loras (2-0-0) totaled 22 shots, 12 of which were on frame, while the Duhawk defense was lights out and allowed the Falcons just three shots, one of which was put on target.
Kyndal Kells earned the win in goal with one save, tallying the second-straight shutout for the Duhawks.
