DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's wrestling team had two American Rivers Conference All-Conference performers in the inaugural conference championships held in the Lillis Athletic and Wellness Center Saturday morning.

Bailey Welu and Alyssa Seippel earned spots on the podium after their performances in the 124- and 131-pound weight class, each earning third place respectively.

AvaBlue McDermott finished the day with a fifth-place finish in the 145-pound weight class. As a team Loras finished sixth.

Out of the nine member schools in the A-R-C, six currently offer women's wrestling programs. These institutions are Buena Vista University, Central College, the University of Dubuque, Loras College, Simpson College, and Wartburg College. Five of these programs are now in their second year of competition.
Up Next: The Duhawks will compete at the Division III National Invitational on Saturday, Feb 8 – Sunday, Feb. 9 in Moline, Ill.
