The Duhawks responded by closing out the opening half on a 6-0 run to head into the locker room up 40-35.

The Beavers started the second half off strong, using an 8-2 run to regain a brief lead (43-42). Both squads traded baskets over the next two and a half minutes until Gavin Sarvis nailed a three-pointer to put Loras (10-3, 4-0) ahead for good. The Duhawks extended their lead to 15 (78-63) with 6:17 remaining and kept at least a six-point buffer until the final buzzer.
