DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Loras College women's soccer team extended their win streak with a convincing 3-0 win over the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday night in the Rock Bowl.
The Duhawks (8-0-1) struck first in the 30th minute when junior forward
Lauren Frost struck the back of the net off a pass from
Belle Johnson. Johnson was once again active in the second half, setting up another junior forward,
Emerson Gasmann, for a 61st minute goal to double the lead. Just eight minutes later, freshmanÂ
Emily Bowe capped the scoring for the Purple and Gold in the 69th minute, assisted by Gasmann.
Loras controlled the match from start to finish, out shooting the Warhawks (5-3-4) by a 16-7 margin and winning the corner kick battle 9-1. Sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Fedinec earned two saves on the night, while the Duhawks put five shots on goal and applied steady pressure all throughout.
