LONG GROVE, Iowa – After three rounds of competition, the Loras College women's golf team earned a fourth-place finish at the American Rivers Conference Championship, played a Glynn's Creek Golf Course.
On day one,
Ellen Pechan and
Jenna Bistline led Loras with rounds of 77 (+5) to sit inside the top 10.
Julia Busch finished day one with an 84 (+12) and
Caera Owens tailed a 17 over par round of 89.
Elish Flynn concluded the opening round with a 90 (+18).
Bistline and Pechan carried momentum into round two, firing rounds of 82 and 81, respectively, to stay inside the top 10 overall. Busch fired her second round of 84 of her own, and Flynn was two shots better on day two, finishing with an 88 (+16). Owens rounded out moving day with a 93 (+21).
On the final day, Bistline once again had the low round of the day for Loras with her 10 over par round of 82. Pechan followed Bistline with an 84 (+12). Busch ended her tournament with an 84 to finish T20 for the championship. Flynn and Owens fired round three scores of 91 (+19) and 95 (+23), respectively. Flynn finished 37
th for the championship, while Owens finished in 39
th place.
With their top 10 finishes, both Pechan and Bistline were all-conference honorees. Pechan earned her first all-conference recognition, while Bistline is earning the recognition for the second straight year.
