DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's soccer team extended their winning streak to a dozen with a dominant 5-0 victory over Coe College Tuesday night at the Rock Bowl.
Loras (12-0-1, 5-0-0 A-R-C) opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a goal from sophomore
Bella Scesniak assisted by
Katie Callahan. Just eight minutes later, Scesniak returned the favor, assisting
Allie Stubbendick to go ahead 2-0 midway through the first half.
Emerson Gasmann and the Duhawks took advantage of a Coe penalty in the second half (58') and earned an own goal just three minutes later. Concluding the high scoring night was sophomore midfielder
Mayte Navejas, netting her third goal of the season.
The Duhawks controlled all facets of the match, outshooting the Kohawks 37-3 (13-1 on goal), as well as a 13-0 advantage on corner kicks.
Up next: Loras travels to Waverly, Iowa on Saturday, Oct. 18, to take on Wartburg College. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
