DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Loras College men's soccer team claimed a 2–0 victory over University of Dubuque in a key city showdown Tuesday night at the Rock Bowl.
After a scoreless first half, the Duhawks (10-1-5, 4-1-2 A-R-C) broke through in the 55th minute when
Sep Heerkens netted his ninth goal of the season off an assist from
Nico Garcia.
Dani Galiana Torres added insurance in the 73rd minute, finishing a setup from
Sam Keen for his team-best 10th goal of the year.
Goalkeeper
Alexander Drexler posted six saves to secure the clean sheet for Loras, while Dubuque's Nic Hubbard made seven stops in goal.
Loras outshot Dubuque 25–11, including a 9–6 edge in shots on goal.
Up Next: The Duhawks will travel hit the road as they take on the Central College Dutch on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
