DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's basketball team fell 73-42 Wednesday night in their contest against the No. 15 University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Eagles.
UW–La Crosse (4-1) opened the first quarter strong with a 16-7 lead. Loras (1-2) began the second quarter with back-to-back field goals from
Lexi Beier to cut the lead to eight (19-11) two minutes into the quarter. However, Loras wouldn't get any closer and trailed by 12 going into the break.
UW-La Crosse controlled the second half thanks to 5-of-14 shooting from beyond the arc, compared to 1-of-11 shooting from the Duhawks.
Claire Wagner led the Purple and Gold with 10 points and nine rebounds, while
Ashtyn Kelderman and Bier added seven points.

Raelyn Koenig, and
Mila Van Weelden each dished out two assists on the night.
The Eagles were led by Molly Janke who had a game-high 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Grace Knupp finished with 11 to round out double digit scorers.
Up Next: Loras travels to Plymouth, Wis. on Friday, November 21, to battle the Lakeland University Muskies. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
