February 24, 2025

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – A pair of Duhawks were named American Rivers Conference Athletes of the Week in two separate sports as announced by the conference office this afternoon.

Anna Durak was Co-Female Athlete of the Week in addition to Women's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week after her standout performance at the A-R-C Swim and Dive Championships this past weekend. Durak made a name for herself in the A-R-C after delivering dominant performances over all three days of competition. She earned four individual event titles and was named A-R-C Most Valuable Swimmer at the conclusion of the championship. Throughout the weekend, Durak secured seven All-Conference medals, claiming titles in the 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, and 200-yard individual medley. She also played a key role in guiding the 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard freestyle relay, and 400-yard medley relay to third-place finishes. Impressively, she set new A-R-C Championship records in all four of her individual events, while also achieving NCAA B-Cut times.

Sara Hoskins has been named Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the first time this season following her performance at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Caged Eagle Invite. Over the weekend, she secured first place in the high jump with a mark of 1.72m, outperforming 30 other competitors. With that height she sits in a tie for the second-best mark in Division III this season. The Duhawks finished third out of nine teams.

The Loras College track and field teams are set to travel to Waverly, Iowa to compete in the A-R-C Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Wartburg College. The two-day event begins Friday, Feb. 28 and will conclude on Saturday, March 1.
