INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Loras College softball team saw its season come to an end Friday night with a 10-1 loss to the number five seeded Central College Dutch in the first round of the A-R-C Tournament.

Central (25-10 Overall, 9-7 A-R-C) jumped out to an early lead thanks to four straight hits to start the game, resulting in a three run first inning. The Dutch bats would continue to stay hot as their offense put up another three run inning in the top half of the second.
Loras (25-10, 9-7) was never able to settle into the game and came away with just two hits off the bats of
Katherine Svigelj and
Kaili Henning, resulting in one run thanks to a wild pitch.
Central added a run in the fourth and three in the fifth to advance to the second round.
THe Duhawks finished the year with a 22-15 record, marking the fourth straight season with 20 or more wins.
