Mayotte, Kinkaid Earn CSC Academic All-America Men's At-Large Honors

July 9, 2025

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2024-25 Academic All-America Men's At-Large teams on Wednesday afternoon, with Loras' Corey Mayotte (Second Team) and Eric Kinkaid (Third Team) earning honors.

To be eligible for consideration, a nominee must be a starter or a key reserve, have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and have reached sophomore academic standing. The CSC membership selects the elite squad from a ballot including all CSC Academic All-District honorees. The NCAA Division III national governance structure financially supports the Division III Academic All-America program to assist CSC with handling the awards and fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division III Academic All-America program.

For volleyball, eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.

For wrestling, eligible nominees must be in the lineup for at least 70 percent of team scoring events (open tournaments, duals) or compete in their weight class at a conference championship meet.

Mayotte, the Duhawks' all-time leader in kills and points, had himself another amazing year on the court. The senior led the team and the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) with 396 kills, while also breaking his single season record of total points with 446. Along with his dominance, Mayotte was named CCIW First Team All-Conference, CCIW Offensive MVP, AVCA Region IV Player of the Year, AVCA All-America First Team, CSC Academic All-District, and CCIW Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference.

Mayotte's selection to the Second Team marks the first time a Loras men's volleyball student-athlete has been placed on a CSC All-American team.

Kinkaid also displayed dominance on the mats, becoming a three-time National Qualifier and two-time All-American in his career after placing third at 157 lbs. Going 24-4 overall on the season, he finished 13-2 in dual action and tallied eight pins, five tech falls, and four major decisions. Kinkaid was also named American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) All-Conference, A-R-C All-Academic, CSC Academic All-District, and NWCA Scholar All-American.

Kinkaid's selection to the Third Team makes him only the third Loras wrestling student-athlete ever to earn CSC Academic All-America honors, joining Shane Liegel and Zeke Smith.
