DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Loras College women's volleyball team fell to Cornell College in four sets Wednesday night inside the Lillis Athletic and Wellness Center.
The Duhawks took the first set 25-16, but ultimately dropped the next three, losing 25-17 in set two, 25-21 in set three, and 25-17 again in set four.
Autumn Finch had herself a night, leading the team with 11 kills, three service aces, and three blocks.
Cat Meyer added eight kills, while
Elaina Schroeder finished the night with four kills.
Alyssa Daughenbaugh dished out 18 assists for the Duhawks.
Collectively, Loras (4-9) hit .129, totaling 37 kills and 20 errors on 132 attempts. Meanwhile, Cornell (5-7) hit .229 with 50 kills and 20 errors on 131 attempts.
Up Next: The Duhawks look to rebound this weekend as they host the Loras Triangular on Saturday, Sept. 27. Loras will face Edgewood University at 12 p.m. followed by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at 4 p.m.
