DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's soccer team notched its first win of the season on Saturday with a 3-0 shutout over North Park University.
Emerson Gasmann put the Duhawks on the board in the 24th minute, heading in her first goal of the season off assists from
Kaitlin Glenn and
Belle Johnson. Loras (1-0-1) kept the pressure on and doubled its lead just before halftime when
Ciara Johnson scored her first collegiate goal in the 43rd minute on a free kick from
Belle Johnson.
The Duhawks controlled play in the second half, limiting the Vikings (1-3-0) to just one shot. In the 81st minute,
Lauren Frost added her first collegiate goal to make it 3-0, finishing off a pass from
Gracie Gasmann.
Loras finished with a 14-1 advantage in shots, including seven on goal, and a 10-1 margin in corner kicks.

Hannah Fedinec recorded her second shutout of the season with one save in 90 minutes.
Up next: The Duhawks travel to Mequon, Wis. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, to face Concordia University Wisconsin at 2 p.m.
