MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Loras College women's volleyball team traveled to Wisconsin Lutheran College for a quadrangular this past Friday and Saturday where they posted a 1-2 record.
The Duhawks battled Illinois College in their opening match but ultimately fell 3-2 to the Lady Blues. In their second match, the Purple and Gold were defeated by St. Norbert College in straight sets, but Loras bounced back and took down the host in a thrilling five-setter in its standalone match on Saturday afternoon.

Game Facts
- The opening set featured eight ties, but a kill by Autumn Finch broke the final one at 22-22 to give the Duhawks a 23-22 lead. Back-to-back attack errors from Illinois College secured the 25-22 set one victory for Loras.
- Neither team led by more than four points during the second set. The Lady Blues benefited from two Laura Kaiser kills and a service ace in the final three points to take the set 27-25.
- The Duhawks held an 11-5 lead early on, but Illinois College used a 16-8 run to put themselves ahead 21-19. A block from Allie Burke and Elaina Schroeder, a Loras service ace and another Lady Blues attack error sealed the 26-24 set three win for the Purple and Gold.
- Illinois College narrowly defeated Loras in the fourth and fifth sets by scores of 26-24 and 15-11 respectively to take the match, 3-2.
- The Duhawks hit .185, which featured 56 kills and 24 errors in 173 attempts.

- The Duhawks used a 5-0 run to break the final tie at 4-4 in the opening set. Loras took a 1-0 lead in the match with a decisive 25-12 set one win.
- The Purple and Gold struggled to keep up with the Warrior offense in the second set, trailing by as many as nine (20-11). Wisconsin Lutheran tied the match up at one set apiece with a 25-15 win in set two.
- Loras fell behind 13-4 midway through the third set, but strung together a pair of 5-0 runs to cut the Warrior lead to just one (18-17). Kills from Allie Burke and Patrycja Jarzabek completed the comeback for the Duhawks, who took the third set by a score of 25-22.
- Wisconsin Lutheran never looked back after using a 5-0 run to regain the lead (8-5). The home team evened the match up once again at two sets apiece with a 25-12 set four win
- The Duhawks rattled off three consecutive points to break the final tie at 8-8 in the fifth set. Loras came out on top in the match, 3-2, with a 15-12 win in the final set.
- The Purple and Gold hit .179, which included 44 kills and 22 errors in 123 attempts.
