DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's wrestling team fell 42-0 to the University of Dubuque in a dual on Wednesday evening.
At 103 pounds,
Kylie Loffer dropped a 6-0 decision to Grace Murphy.
Emely Mejia Garcia fell short to Sara Schroder by fall in 2:02 in the 110-pound bout. Dubuque added points via forfeits at 117 and 124 pounds, while the 131-pound weight class resulted in a double forfeit.
At 138 pounds,
Grace Patterson fell to Mattie Papenthien in 50 seconds. The Spartans picked up another forfeit at 145 pounds before Brianna Seixas defeated
Izabella Peters by technical fall, 11-0, in 1:35 in the 160-pound match. Dubuque earned a forfeit at 180 pounds, and Alexandra Hofrichter closed the dual with a fall of
Lucy Read in 33 seconds in the 207-pound bout.
