CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Loras College men's wrestling student-athlete
Landry Barker has been selected as the American Rivers Conference's Male Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Barker went 3-0 at 184 lbs at the Gator 'Boots' Duals on Dec. 20 in Nashville, Tenn., helping the Duhawks also finish 3-0 in their duals. After winning 11-7 against Hayden McLellan of Alvernia University and picking up a 19-3 tech fall against Bryson Caudle of Averett University, the junior from Covington, La. earned an 11-3 major decision over Remington Bauer of Baldwin Wallace, who was ranked seventh at the time.
Men's wrestling returns to competition this weekend as they travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa for the NWCA Division III National Duals on Jan. 9 and 10.
