DUBUQUE, Iowa – Former Loras College football standout Dan Shey will be inducted into the Loras College Athletics Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2026. He will be honored alongside four other inductees during the ceremony on Friday, Oct. 9 inside the Alumni Campus Center ballroom.

Earning the respect of all his teammates, Shey joins the Loras College Hall of Fame after a well accomplished four-year career on the gridiron.

"Acknowledge people and listen." Shey said. "You can learn something from everyone regardless of their wealth, education or identity."

During his time as a Duhawk, the former team captain eared NAIA All-District honors as a senior and was also an All-American Honorable Mention at the linebacker position.

Shey finished his playing career with a 28-12-3 record, which is the most wins in a four-year stretch in school history.

Currently, Shey lives in the St. Benedict parish neighborhood in Chicago with his wife Michelle and their two daughters Zoe and Brynn. Shey is currently the Vice President of Consulting at ABI Research, a company that publishes reports and advises clients on the selection and implementation of technology for their business across multiple functional groups such as product development, marketing, operations, and corporate strategy.
