MADISON, Wis. – The Loras College men's tennis team concluded a 2-0 trip to Madison, Wis. with a 6-1 win over the University of Northwestern (Minn.) and a 6-1 win against Edgewood University.

It was a clean sweep in doubles to start the day for the men.
Jaimes Palmer and
Dali Martens got the first win, defeating Carson Haack and Sam Majerus 6-1 at No. 2.
Gage Becker and
Hayden Martin followed with 6-2 win at No. 1 while
Abhyudit Nagar and Samuel Canas Guerrero completed the sweep with a 6-3 win at the No. 3 spot.
With a 1-0 lead going into singles, Martin added another point with his 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles. Martens followed at the No. 4 spot with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Majerus. Palmer got a win at No. 3, taking down Carsen Kramer 6-3, 6-4. Becker and
Andrew Day got the final two singles points for Loras, winning their matches 6-3, 7-5, and 6-2, 6-3, respectively.

The Duhawks once again found success in doubles play, going 3-0. Martin and Becker were victorious at the No. 1 spot, 6-4. Palmer and Martens got a win over Jon Olafsson and Justin Hutchcroft, 6-1 at No. 2 and
Jackson Craig and Canas Guerrero won their match, 6-3.
Palmer was the first Duhawk on the board in singles play, defeating Hutchcroft 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3. Martin followed Palmer with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles over Olafsson.
Horia Popa was a winner at No. 4, winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4. Nagar took down Drew Hoffmann at No. 5 singles, 6-1, 6-1, while
Jimmy Krcmarik was a winner at No. 6 to secure the win.
Up Next: Loras will travel to Decorah, Iowa on Feb. 14 to face off against Luther College and UW-La Crosse. The Duhawks will take on Luther at 10 a.m. followed by UW-La Crosse at 2 p.m.
