DECORAH, Iowa – The Loras College men's tennis team fell to Luther College and the University of La-Crosse on Saturday afternoon.
Loras 0, Luther 7
Dali Martens and
Jaimes Palmer were the only duo to win their match in doubles, defeating Jake Altaus and Juan Herrera at No. 2 doubles.
Loras competed hard in singles play, but were unable to secure a win.
Loras 0, UW-La Corsse 7
Loras was met with a similar fate in the match against the Eagles. The Duhawks fell behind early in doubles play after falling at all three spots.
In singles play,
Gage Becker fell to Aiden Meixl at No. 1.
Hayden Martin was defeated by Kyle Hehli at No. 2 while Palmer fell at No. 3. Martens,
Sean Sonoiki and
Abhyudit Nagar all had similar results to end the day for Loras.
Up Next: Loras will travel to Neenah, Wis. on Feb. 22 to face off against the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Points at 9 a.m. and Ripon College at 1 p.m.
