DUBUQUE, Iowa – Kaili Henning of the Loras College softball team secured her first American Rivers Conference Pitcher of the Week award, the conference office announced on Monday.

Henning is earning the award after a 2-1 week in the circle for the Duhawks. The Fort Dodge, Iowa native threw back-to-back shutouts against Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Dubuque. Against the Prairie Wolves, she allowed only two hits while striking out nine batters before following that performance with a one-hit shutout the next day at UD. Against the Spartans she allowed just one hit, fanning seven.

On the week the sophomore totaled 21 innings pitched with 22 strikeouts, finishing with a 2.00 ERA.

Up Next: Loras will return to action on April 18 when they welcome Simpson College to Faber-Clark Field. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1 p.m.
