WAVERLY, Iowa – The Loras College women's tennis team had its season come to an end Tuesday night in the first round of the American Rivers Conference Tournament. The Duhawks fell to the three-seeded Knights of Wartburg College, 4-1.
Loras fell behind early after falling at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles position, 6-4.

Brooke Burger was the lone victorious Duhawk, defeating Abi Peyman 6-1, 7-5 at No. 6. Wartburg took matches at the No. 3, 4, and 5 positions to secure the win.
Mary Breitbach and
Alexis Tatum both had their matched abandoned. Breitbach had her match abandoned after a 7-6 set one win and tied at two games in the second set. Tatum forced a third set in her match after her 6-2 win in the second set.
