CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – A pair of Duhawks have earned American Rivers Conference Athlete of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

From football, Charles Williams is earning his first Defensive Athlete of the Week award after a monster performance in the Duhawks 49-13 win over the University of Northwestern (Minn.).

The Fort Lauderdale, Fla. native recorded two interceptions, taking each of them back for touchdowns, totaling 69 yards between the two. The junior added three tackles to his stat line as well.

From women's soccer, Bella Scesniak is earning back-to-back Defensive Athlete of the Week honors after helping the Duhawks to a 2-0 week on the pitch. The junior defender finished the week with three assists for Loras, while holding opponents to just four shots in two games.
