Iowa City native David Zoeckler enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Loras College football program, focusing on the defensive line.
A four-year starter at Loras from 2009-2012, Zoeckler earned All-Conference honors his junior year and was voted a 2012 team captain.
During his career, Zoeckler appeared in 40 games, with a majority of playing time spent on the defensive side of the ball. As a linebacker, Zoeckler collected 181 tackles (105 solo), 13 tackles for loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one interception.
Zoeckler graduated from Loras College in 2012 with an elemantary education degree.
Zoeckler resides in Dubuque, Iowa.
