Loras College Athletics

Erik Bjork enters his first season at Loras College as the Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach.

Bjork began his coaching career in 2025 at South St. Paul High School in Minnesota, where he served as the Linebackers Coach. During his season with the Packers, he helped guide the program to an 8-2 record and a section championship game appearance while directly coaching the district's Defensive Player of the Year.

A 2024 graduate of Saint John's University, Bjork was a three-year starter at linebacker and a team captain for one of the nation's premier Division III defenses. He led the Johnnies in tackles during each of his three seasons as a starter while serving as the defense's primary signal caller. Bjork earned First Team All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) honors in 2021, 2022, and 2023, as well as All-Region recognition in 2023. During his career, Saint John's compiled a 41-7 record, captured three MIAC championships, and advanced to the NCAA Division III Playoffs three times. He finished eighth in program history with 118 career solo tackles and was inducted into the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society in recognition of his accomplishments both in the classroom and on the field.
