Nicholas Wood was hired as the Defensive Line Coach prior to the 2019 season.
A native of Rockford, Illinois, Wood attended Boylan Catholic High School, where he was a starting center for them. Wood was named All-Conference as well as a member of State Champion Teams in 2010 and 2011.
He attended Rock Valley College and received his Associate's degree in 2016. While at Rock Valley, Wood was an assistant coach for his alma mater Boylan as their Offensive Line Coach, as well as their Special Teams Coordinator. He then went to the University of Iowa and received his Bachelor's degree in Business Management in 2018. While at Iowa, Wood was the Sophomore Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator for Iowa City High School.Â
Wood now resides in Dubuque, Iowa
