Scot Hundt

Scot Hundt joins to the Loras College men's basketball program as an assistant coach ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Hundt most recently worked in the golf industry, where he was employed by the Atlanta Events Specialists group. At AES, he worked with contractors such as TopGolf and the PGA Tour. With Top Golf, he helped maintain and operate TopGolf Live across the country in various professional and college stadiums, often building staging, setting up tracer technology, and running golf simulators. With the PGA Tour, he led a team that built merchandise stores and signage for PGA-related events, while traveling up to 315 days out of the year to work with tournament leaders to ensure all facets of each event were completed to the standard of the company. Hundt also worked as the lead on a grounds crew at Whisper Lake Golf Course in Madison, Miss., where led a crew to maintain the appearance of the course.

Before working in the golf industry, Hundt began working in basketball as a camp coach for Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Fla., from 2014-17. He worked with children aged six to 12, teaching the youth about the game and developing practice lessons. Hundt also worked as a trainer and coach for the Charlotte Swish from 2015-17, working primarily with students in the seventh through 11th grades.

Hundt's current stint at Loras isn't his first, as the Punta Gorda, Fla., native worked as a basketball intern with the Duhawks from May to August of 2017. While at Loras, he set up camp schedules, fall workouts, recruit schedules, and helped implement summer practice sessions.

Hundt graduated from Mississippi College in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, where he played two seasons with the Choctaws. Over 28 games, he averaged 3.9 points as a career 34.3-percent shooter, including 34.1-percent from beyond the arc. Before Mississippi College, Hundt played at Reinhardt University and averaged 8.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game over 30 contests.
