Jordan Kayser comes to Loras prior to the 2022 season from Elkhorn, Wis. where he has served roles as Director of Coaching at Elkhorn Rush Soccer Club while also leading the Elkhorn Area High School soccer program as Head Coach.
Kayser brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Duhawks' staff, holding his Director of Coaching position at Eklhorn Rush Soccer since 2018 while also serving as the head coach at Elkhorn Area High School since 2019. In his time at Elkhorn Area High School, Kayser led the Elks to three Southern Lakes Conference Championships while also leading the Rush to two Premier League State Championships, earning Coach of the Year honors in 2019.
"I'm very excited to have Jordan join our coaching staff. He brings a depth of knowledge and understanding of the game, while connecting well with students," said McCarthy. "Jordan quickly rose to the top of the list during the interview process; he checked all the boxes I was looking for in an assistant coach."
In addition to coaching at the high school and club levels, Kayser held was an Assistant Coach at University of Wisconsin – Whitewater from 2017-2019. In his time at Whitewater, the Warhawks went 38-16-7, making an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2019.
As a player, Kayser was a five-year member of the Warhawks' men's soccer program from 2012-2016 where he helped lead the team to three straight trips to the NCAA Tournament in 2014, 2015 and 2016. In his senior season in 2016, Kayser was named First Team All-State as well as Midfielder of the Year after scoring three goals with two assists as the Warhawks went 14-5-3 in the season. In his collegiate playing career, Kayser netted nine goals with four assists in 67 career appearances.
In his first year, Kayser helped coach the Loras Mens Soccer Program to the number 1 overall seed in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) and a second place finish in the A-R-C tournament. Loras finished with a 10-6-2 record with a conference record of 5-1-2.
Kayser received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Whitewater, earning his bachelor's in physical education and recreation and his master's in athletic administration.
