Vega brings to the Key City over six years of lacrosse experience, both as a student-athlete and as a coach. She inherits a program that set numerous program and individual records during the 2017 season.

While at Augustana, Vega was a part of the inaugural team for the Vikings that accumulated a combined record of 70-10, three conference championships, three conference tournament championships and three appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The Vikings record in the NCAA Tournament during Vega's tenure was 3-3.

A native of Flossmoor, Ill., Vega graduated from Augustana with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in psychology. Since graduating, Vega has worked at her alma mater, Marian Catholic, as an assistant with the women's lacrosse program for the last two seasons.
