Sophia Brown enters her second season as assistant coach for the women's volleyball program under head coach, Jenna Ness. She is a former Iowa Conference student-athlete at Luther College, graduating in May 2013 with a degree in Art Management (Printmaking).

In her time with the Norse, she appeared in 300 games and averaged 2.15 kills per game. As a junior, Brown was an all-conference honorable mention selection, appearing in 29 matches for Luther and contributing 257 kills. In her senior season, she appeared in all 32 matches for the Norse and earned herself a spot on the all-conference team. Her career with the Norse garnered the attention of her peers as she was nominated for Luther's Female Student-Athlete of the Year as a senior.
Off the court, Brown was involved with Luther's SAAC Chapter, attending the Iowa Conference Student Athlete Leadership Conference in 2012.
A native of Altoona, Iowa, Brown now resides in Dubuque and is an Area Coordinator in addition to her duties as assistant coach.
